We will kick off the event with what promises to be a memorable pep rally! Some special guests, music and a fun atmosphere should get CPES “buzzing!” Each student will receive a pledge form the day of the pep rally to take home. Family and friends can pledge a flat donation or a dollar amount per lap run by the student. On the day of the run, students will have 30 minutes to run or walk as many laps as possible around a 1/10th mile track. The average amount of laps run is around 30, with the maximum allowed at 40. This means if you pledge $1 per lap and your student runs 35 laps, your donation will total $35. There are lots of awesome prizes to encourage students and their families to find donations! The student who collects the most pledges will win a fabulous vacation at Seascape Resort in Destin, FL. In addition, there are plenty of other fun prizes that will be given during the week leading up to the run. EVERY student can participate in the run regardless of whether he or she has received pledges. Every student and teacher will also receive a BUZZ t-shirt on the day of the run to keep. With music, fun and popsicles after the run, the BUZZ is shaping up to be a super day for Chelsea Park students and volunteers! Check back for more prize updates and buzz promotions during April 1-14.
