Everyone mark your calendars for the 2011 edition of the BUZZ at Chelsea Park! The Buzz is our way of raising the funds necessary for equipping each classroom with the required technology to become “21st century classrooms.” We hope to continue and expand upon last year’s success, in which we raised over $35,000!

We will kick off the Buzz with a fun pep rally in the cafeteria on February 11th. Students will then be asked to collect donations and pledges from family and friends. The BUZZ will be run on February 23rd. Students have 30 minutes to run or walk as many laps as possible around a 1/10th mile track. They will then collect the pledges and turn in money by March 11th. We are looking forward to cooler running weather this year and a fun, energetic atmosphere as we all work together for CPES! Show your support by heading out to Chelsea Park on Feb. 23rd to cheer for our students!

5-6-10 : Drum roll Please. ..CPES family raised $35,000 with the First Annual Buzz at Chelsea Park!!! Way to go, everyone!!!! 100% of funds will stay at Chelsea Park Elementary School!

Join us as we work to encourage our students to be active and REACH higher to meet goals!!

This year, the PTO and faculty of CPES are working together to coordinate our own fundraiser run, The BUZZ at CHELSEA PARK. This event will kick off with a pep rally on April 1^st and will conclude with the run on April 14^th, 2010. We are patterning this event after past runs and hoping to capture the same success Chelsea Intermediate has had with their Hornet Hustle. The best part is that since we are not contracting an outside party, 100% of the funds will remain at our school! At Chelsea Park, we are working hard to ensure our students have the best education possible. With your help, we will have the funds in place to purchase the technology and supplies that will make CPES a 21st century school.

During the Buzz, we will emphasize the educational message “REACH”, which stands for Respect, Enthusiasm, Attitude, Character and Honesty. By taking on the challenge of the Buzz, we are teaching our children the importance of being active and working hard to REACH our goals!
